A society meeting was set to enthrall
Fellows in debate gathered, eager to participate
And discuss issues, both small and great
But a junior boy waited outside the class
His senior, unwilling to let her pass
She was needed at the meeting hall
But her professor refused to let her crawl
The junior boy, with a spark in his eye,
Asked the professor if she could fly
To the society meeting, where she was due
To speak on issues both old and new
The class erupted with cheers and shouts
As the girl emerged, amidst all the clouts
Her name was mispronounced, a minor flub
But the boy was determined to make it up
Together they walked to the meeting hall
For the society meeting, they could not stall
Their friendship, born of this event
Would grow and bloom, with time well spent.
