For I had started liking her

 In the year of twenty-eleven,

We worked together, you and I,

Arranging an event to remember,

Our hearts beating in perfect rhyme.

As we toiled through the day and night,

A feeling stirred deep in my heart,

And though I tried with all my might,

I couldn't keep it locked apart.

For I had started liking her,

The one I worked alongside,

And though I hid it with a blur,

It was something I couldn't hide.

So in my secret diary,

I wrote a poem of love and light,

Hoping one day she would see,

And my heart would take to flight.

Now years have passed since that time,

And though we may have gone our separate ways,

The memory of that love still shines,

And in my heart, forever stays.
