Her love was fake

Her love was fake, a mere facade

A mask she wore, to hide her charade

A heart so cold, a soul so fake

Her love was just a game, a mere mistake

I gave her my all, my heart and soul

But she played with my feelings, as if it was a goal

Her words so sweet, her touch so light

But deep inside, I knew it wasn't right

Her love was fake, a mere illusion

A lie she told, without hesitation or confusion

I trusted her with my heart, my life

But she broke me apart, with a sharp-edged knife

Now I stand here, broken and shattered

Wondering what I did, to deserve to be battered

But I know now, her love was never true

And I'll move on, with my head held high, anew

For though her love was fake, mine was real

A love that'll last, a love that'll heal

And though I'll never forget, the pain she caused

I'll find someone who loves me, with no false applause
